Matthew Gauthier, a 31-year-old resident of Humphreys, died on Thursday evening, July 5, 2007 at his home in Humphreys. Death was due to natural causes.

A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 9, 2007 at the Humphreys Cemetery in Humphreys.
Mr. Gauthier was born on Feb. 21, 1976 in Trenton, the son of William Orre and Cheryl Jane Dalrymple Gauthier. He was a lifelong resident of Humphreys. He worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken for 14 years and had recently been employed with Wal-Mart in Chillicothe. He was a member of the Red Cliff Band of the Lake Superior Chippewa Indians.
He is survived by his mother, Cheryl Gauthier of Humphreys; one brother, Mark Gauthier and his wife, Ashley, of Chillicothe; one nephew, William Gauthier; and one uncle, Danny Dalrymple of Junction City, KY.
He was preceded in death by his father, William “Bill” Gauthier; paternal grandparents; and maternal grandparents.
