Coach Nold said of the 6-4, 200-pound student/athlete: “Kyle is a skilled pitcher that we expect to use to strengthen our bullpen, and he has the potential to develop into a starter. Head Coach Donnie Hillerman and I are excited about Kyle’s size and expect him to become a very dominant force on the mound for the Pirates.”
While in high school, Kelley was salutatorian of his class, a member of the National Honor Society, and on the A honor roll. He was active in FCA and a member of the Braymer Christian Youth Group.
Athletic honors included being named a second team all-state pitcher in 2007 as well as honorable mention on the All-State team as a utility player. His ERA was 2.07 and he had 49 strikeouts in 35 innings pitched.
Kelley is NCMC’s third signee under Hillerman. He joins Derek Miller and Caleb Jones as new members of the NCMC baseball program.
