Ron Hoyt, a 63-year-old resident of Trenton, died at 9:20 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2007 at the Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton, where he had been a patient since March 20, 2007.

The body was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2007 at the Coon Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Ron Ward will officiate.
Mr. Hoyt was born on Feb. 26, 1944 in Harrison County, the son of Carl and Clella Faye Kariker Hoyt.
He graduated from South Harrison High school in 1962 and moved to Trenton in 1965. He worked in his earlier years as a carpenter.
He is survived by four daughters, Becky Chumbley and her husband, Scott, of Springfield, Beth McDaniel and her husband, Brian, of Kansas City, Jeni Gibson and her husband, Seth, of Trenton and Carmen Llana and her husband, Angelo, of St. Joseph; one son, Kyle Hoyt of Trenton; one brother, Eldon Hoyt and his wife, Rosemary, of St. Joseph; seven grandchildren, Lauryn Chumbley, Emma Hoyt-Lowrey, Aaron Anderson, Padyn Gibson, Brice McDaniel, Ben McDaniel and Samuel Gibson; one nephew, David Hoyt; and one niece, Sherri Curran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, David Hoyt.
