Orville Dayton Tuck, a 95,-year-old resident of Lee’s Summit, passed away June 27, 2007 at a Lee’s Summit Healthcare Center.

Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel in St. Joseph, with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph. Visitation will begin after 9 a.m. Friday at the chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
Mr. Tuck was born on May 10, 1912 in Frazier, the son of John and Rebecca Hankins Tuck. Mr. Tuck was a farmer and a route salesman for Guy’s Foods for 21 years before his retirement. He was a long-time member and deacon at Patee Park Baptist Church. Mr. Tuck loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his daughter, Frances Mitts of Trenton; a son, James Rogers Tuck and wife Judy, of Lee’s Summit; a sister, Helen Wright; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Ethel Catherine Tuck; four brothers; and a sister.
