Trenton’s Sesquicentennial Grand Finale will be held on Wednesday, July 4 at C.F. Russell Stadium with fireworks and a concert by Julie Hefley.
Julie Hefley To Present Concert
Julie Hefley resides in Gallatin, Missouri with her husband, Vance, and three children. She is a native of Hamilton and has served North Central Missouri College in Trenton for 20 years as both an instructor and administrator. She is also a live performer and recording artist. She established the Musical Ministry, Crown of Jewels and has released her first CD. As part of the Trenton Sesquicentennial, her July 4 performance is a family show with country, rock, 70’s, gospel, and contemporary Christian music. Her show will also feature a visual tribute to Trenton and residents from the past and present.
The special grand finale performance of the 150th festivities, which includes the Hefley concert, will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the C. F. Russell Stadium. Activities at that location will begin at 3 p.m. with the Special Commemorative 150th Saddle, donated by Veach Saddlery, being given away. Brothers of the Brush Awards will be given away at that time as well. Buggy rides will be offered by Ron Orndorff of Princeton. Children’s games, including a bounce house, will be held at 5 p.m. The Elks will host a watermelon feed in Eastside Park. A special Slam Dunk contest will be held at 5 p.m.
Admission to the Hefley concert is free. However, the Trenton Fire Department will be collecting funds to pay for fireworks.
Donations are still needed for fireworks and may be sent to the Chamber of Commerce, 617 Main, Trenton, MO 64683, earmarked fireworks.
The Grundy County Food Pantry will provide a full concession stand at the C. F. Russell Stadium with all proceeds going to the new building fund.
