The Foland family has deep roots in Grundy County. Ross Foland from Tindall and Allie Oyler from the Forks of the River were married in 1926. They had six children, three of whom are performing in the sesquicentennial play. Brother Dale Foland, sisters Sonna Wiggins and Mary Holt, and Mrs. Holt’s husband, Ed, will all appear.

Forrest Dale Foland will perform a Dixieland banjo number in the show. A professional engineer, Foland served in the Seebees in the 1950’s. He and his wife have four children, 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He moved back to Trenton in 2001 and enjoys hunting and fishing when not playing country music.
Sonna Wiggins will perform two numbers in a trio. She and sister Mary Holt have been singing with the LouEllaRose Trio for the past four years, appearing in Trenton and the surrounding area. Mrs. Wiggins has also sung in church choir since age 12 and directed a youth choir for six years and an adult choir for 20 years. Her hobbies include traveling, playing golf and playing piano at the First Christian Church. She and husband, Bill, have three sons, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mary Holt will also sing in a trio in the show. She and husband, Ed, have been married 50 years and have four children, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She has appeared in TAG productions of “The Sound of Music” and “My Fair Lady.” A graduate of Trenton Junior College, Mary was a secretary at Rissler Elementary School and a coordinator at Head Start.
Ed Holt will perform with The Four Dimensions. A graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, he is retired from a career in banking with the Trenton Trust Company (now a branch of Citizen’s Bank and Trust). Active in his community, Ed also taught courses in the NCMC business management program.
