Ms. Peters was born in Trenton and is the daughter of Lee and Laura Peters, local Trenton entrepreneurs. She performed in concert choir, women’s choir, show choir and church choir as a teenager. She gives credit to instructors Ann Brinser and Sherry Whitt as well as Frank Thomas from Missouri Western State University at St. Joseph.
She performs many types of music, including old country such as that which was performed by Patsy Cline and Tammy Wynette. She also likes to sing songs from the 60s and 70s, as well as church songs at the Wesley United Methodist Church.
Ms. Peters hobbies include reading and singing when she is not working as an LPN at Wright Memorial Hospital. Her family is musical, too. Her father, Lee, enjoys singing and siblings Erin and Wade also sang in high school. Mrs. Peters plays the piano and had Sherry Whitt as her piano teacher.
The soprano utilizes CDs for background music. She plans to sing a variety of songs at the July 4 concert to help Trenton celebrate 150 years of rich history. The entertainer is quite pleased to be included in the celebration and to give back to her hometown community.
