Lulabelle Thogmartin, a 71-year-old resident of 726 W. 10th St. in Trenton, died on Sunday, afternoon, June 10, 2007 at Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City.
The body will be cremated under the direction of Slater Funeral Home in Trenton. A memorial service will be held at a later time.
Mrs. Thogmartin, was born May 18, 1936 in Trenton, the daughter of Jesse Edwin and Ruth Ann Burkeybile Reid. She attended Trenton schools. She lived in Trenton most of her life. She was employed by the city of Trenton Police Department as a dispatcher from 1983 until retiring in 2000.
She was married in Liberty on Nov. 7, 1953 to Leroy Thogmartin, who preceded her in death on April 3,1996.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda Williams of Trenton, Carolyn Thogmartin of Trenton and Robin Betz and her husband, Mike, of Trenton; one son, Keith Thogmartin of Trenton; one sister, Joann Simpson of Kansas City; one brother, Charley Reid and his wife, Kay, of Trenton; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters. Alta Hickman and Beulah Hickman; and one brother, Glen Reid.
Memorials have been suggested to the American Cancer Society. They may be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
