Mary Virginia May, a 79-year-old resident of Dallas City, IL, died on Saturday, May 26, 2007 at Park Place Care Center in Mount Pleasant, IA. She was a native of Galt.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at Banks and Beals Funeral Home at Dallas City. Burial was in the Harris Cemetery.
Mrs. May was born on Jan. 14, 1928 at Galt, the daughter of Everett and Martha Mitchell Evans. She graduated from Galt High School in 1945.
She was married on May 5, 1945 to Roby Jack May, who survives of the home.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Sherry L. Gittings of Branson, Lois J. Douglas of Dallas City, Randy J. May of Lomax, IL and David E. May of Chillicothe; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
