Entries for the Trenton Sesquicentennial Parade are still being accepted.
June 15 Is Sesquicentennial Parade Deadline
The parade will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 29. There is no cost to enter. Businesses, organizations, individuals, churches, etc. are being encouraged to have an entry in the parade and floats are especially encouraged. No political floats will be accepted.
When making an entry, persons are asked to provide the organization’s name, a contact person and indicate the category in which the entry is to be judged. A brief description about the entry is also being asked for so that it can be used in broadcasting the parade. If a person on the entry was also in the centennial parade in 1957, that should be indicated as well as those individuals will be recognized by the parade organizers, the Trenton Rotary Club.
Entry forms are available on the sesquicentennial website, www.trenton150.org (which also includes a list of the categories to be entered) and also appear periodically in the Trenton Republican-Times newspaper. They can be sent to the Trenton Sesquicentennial Parade, c/o Trenton Rotary, PO Box 254, Trenton, MO 64683. Entries for the parade can also be e-mailed to [email protected] (use sesquicentennial parade in the subject line). The deadline to enter is June 15.
