A second Trenton High School graduate has signed a letter of intent to attend North Central Missouri College and play basketball for the Lady Pirates and Coach Jennifer Croy.
Kari Shiflett is the daughter of Larry and Mona Loyd of rural Laredo and a 2007 graduate of THS. The 5-11 post player earned all-district honors in addition to being named to the KMZU Dream Team, the Gallatin All-Tournament Team and will play this weekend in the Lions Club All-Star event.

Shiflett scored 304 points during her senior season at Trenton High School and 873 points during her THS career. She scored a career-high 26 points in one game as a Lady Bulldog, adding to her average of 13.2 points per game. Other statistics for Shiflett include 530 rebounds, 58 assists and 73 steals during her high school career. She played a total of 105 games for the Black and Gold.
A member of the National Honor Society, Future Teachers of America and FCCLA, Shiflett hopes to complete her education at NCMC before entering a four-year university to major in health and physical science in pursuit of a career as an athletic trainer.
Shiflett joins Whitney Hanes, Taurren and Tricia Ireland as former Bulldogs on the NCMC team.
