The Trenton High SChool Golf team competed in a dual golf meet with Chillicothe at Green Hills Golf Course in Chillicothe on Tuesday.

The varsity squad came up just short, falling to Chillicothe by just two strokes. Trenton shot a 151 while Chillicothe had a 149. The Trenton golfers all shot under 40, with Logan Wyant and Evan Fries leading the way with 37 each. Jim Weaver shot a 38 and Tyler Brinkley and Ethan Bunnell each carded a 39.
Chillicothe’s Logan Gilliland was the medalist with a 33.
The junior varsity also was in action against Chillicothe. The Bulldogs combined to shoot a 195 in their loss to the Hornets, who shot a 163. Ryan Wade led the way for the JV with a team low 39. Cree Beverlin shot a 48 while D. J. Christenson had a 51. James Dannatt and Garth Griswold both shot a 57.
The golf team will be in action again Thursday at home.
