Judge Jack Peace
The following cases were heard by Judge Andrew Krohn:
Joyce Hayes, 55, 1010 Avalon, Apt. 22, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of making a false affidavit. The original charge was conspiracy to commit forgery. She also pleaded guilty to an amended charge of misdemeanor tampering with physical evidence. The original charge was felony tampering. She was given a suspended sentence of 180 days in the Grundy County Jail and placed on probation for two years. She was also ordered to pay $3,000 restitution. A charge of forgery was dismissed.
Joshua Phillips, 26, 1508 Mable St., pleaded guilty to second degree assault and had his sentencing set for May 17. A charge of second degree statutory rape was dismissed.
Jonathan McAtee, 21, 268 SW 52nd Ave., pleaded guilty to theft/stealing and had his sentencing set for June 14.
Shirley Hutchison, 50, 707 E. 8th St., waived formal arraignment on a charge of passing bad checks and pleaded not guilty. Her case was continued to May 17.
Ashley Kincaid, 24, 1609 Bolser St., waived formal arraignment and pleaded not guilty to first degree endangering the welfare of a child. Her case was continued to May 17.
Brandon Hemsworth, 27, 1609 Bolser St., pleaded guilty to an amended charge of second degree endangering the welfare of a child. The original charge was first degree endangering. He was sentenced to serve 45 days in the Grundy County Jail and given credit for time served. He is to pay $10 to the Crime Victims Compensation Fund and $100 to the public defender.
Daniel Betz, 27, 158 E. 4th St., pleaded guilty to forgery and had his sentencing set for June 14.
Clinton Forbes, 23, Blue Springs, waived formal arraignment and pleaded guilty to first degree tampering with a motor vehicle. His sentencing was set for May 17.
Dawn Chase, 26, 158 E. 4th St., pleaded guilty to forgery and her sentencing set for June 14.
Paul Damon, 39, Gilman City, had his case set for jury trial on Sept. 7 on a charge of theft/stealing.
Faron Lawrence, 40, Spickard, had his case continued to May 15 for trial setting. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
Zachery Ishmael, 23, 1433 Chestnut St., had his probation revoked and was ordered to serve five years in the Missouri Department of Corrections. He was given credit for time served. He violated probation on a charge of attempting to possess a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
Laurie Arnold, 46, Green City, had three charges of passing bad checks dismissed.
Roger Chung, 35, Princeton, had a charge of passing bad checks dismissed.
Civil Court
Johnny Kidd vs. Thomas Coatings, Inc. The case, which involved a breach of contract, was dismissed by the plaintiff.

Judge Steven D. Hudson
William Elder, 38, 1432 Moberly St., pleaded guilty to failure to wear a seat belt and was fined $10.
Marriage License
James Dwight Coss and Shirley Ann Vorderbrugger, both of Bethany.
