The Grundy County History Book Committee has announced that effective May 1, the price for the two-volume set of “Grundy County and Its People” will increase to $125 (plus sales tax for a total of $134.66 for Missouri residents).

The increased expense reflects the publishing cost for the large number of pictures and stories that have been included. Each set of books will include over 1,200 pages, over 2,000 family stories and over 3,000 pictures.
The history set may still be ordered at the previously announced 2007 price of $95 (plus sales tax for a total of $102.34 for Missouri residents) only until the end of April.
Persons desiring to own the books, or to purchase them as gifts for others, should place orders now. The number of sets published will be based upon the number ordered before May 1. There is no assurance that books will be available upon publication if not ordered in advance.
