Audrey Renfro, a 97-year-old resident of Princeton, died on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at the Laurie Care Center in Laurie.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2007 at the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Chapel in Princeton. Rev. Gary Watkins will officiate. Burial will be in the Princeton Cemetery.
An open visitation will begin at 8 a.m. on Friday, April 6, 2007 at the funeral home. A family visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, prior to the service.
Mrs. Renfro was born on March 19, 1910 at Mill Grove, the daughter of Lewis Edgar and Susan Elizabeth Turrell Lambert. She was raised in Mercer County. She was married on July 3, 1931 to William Harold Renfro, who preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 1993. The couple farmed for many years in Mercer County, moving from their farm to Princeton in August 1988. Mrs. Renfro moved to the Laurie Care Center on March 1, 2001.
She is survived by one daughter, Joyce Trainer of Kansas City; one son, Jerry Renfro and his wife, Kay, of Holts Summit; 14 great-grandchildren; eight grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jon Renfro; four brothers, Cleon, Harley, Vernon and Winton Lambert; and two sisters, one in infancy and Margee Owen.
The family suggests memorials to the Princeton First ßChristian Church. They may be mailed to the funeral home at PO Box 316, Princeton, MO 64673.
