Glen and Connie Mock discussed their guest ranch and hunting lodge, which is located near Mercer. They specialize in family reunions, as well as anyone who enjoys living in the woods for a period of time. The ranch offers cabins, a boarding house, horseback riding, fishing and hunting.
During the business meeting, Treasurer Elizabeth Gibson reported that $1,934 was netted from the basketball tournament and Chris Hoffman reminded everyone about an upcoming blood drive. It was noted that April 19 is the deadline to collect shoes and cash for the Shoes for Orphan Soles project. Brown’s Shoe Fit is a collection point for shoes. They will be delivered to the district meeting in Excelsior Springs on April 27.
