She is the director of the Grundy/Sullivan RSVP programs, having served in that capacity for five years and gives her experience in the non-profit arena. “Trenton is the place I call home,” Mrs. Foster said. “I really care for this community. Running as a write-in is my way to show my concern and care. I had been urged to run by many as a write-in candidate. Being a write-in candidate and not very well known in my area was of great concern to me. A few words of encouragement from Russell Joiner on the right day and time helped me to make the decision to go ahead as a write-in for fourth ward councilwoman. I bring experience and training in grantwriting and budgeting and feel that will be an asset to the city council when creating and maintaining a responsible city budget.”
“I am excited about Trenton’s downtown revitalization project and want to see the best for the downtown area,” Mrs. Foster continued. “The NCMC expansion is also an exciting area for the city of Trenton. The college is a vital part of this community and I look forward to working with it and seeing it grow. Trenton’s airport improvement is a must for us as a community and a vital part of our industrial manufacturers. I look forward to making sure that the necessary improvements are done to maintain one of the most quality airports in the area.”
“The infrastructure of Trenton is experiencing several changes,” she said. “I look forward to the challenge of helping to keep Trenton moving forward in necessary improvements to our community. Trenton is looking to hire an economic developer. I feel that this is necessary to help bring possible businesses to our community and look forward to working with such a person.”
“I fell that the city’s primary objective is to improve the quality of life for all of its residents,” she said. “Growth and development must be looked at – not just the immediate benefit, but the impact it will have in the future. I want to listen to what people have to say and educate myself on all issues facing the city, then make reasonable decisions. I look forward to serving the residents of the fourth ward. I don’t claim to have all the answers, but I will work hard, be open minded and very sincere in the things I do.”
