Dr. Nuttall discussed the Barton Campus project as well as improvements being made to the NCMC campus. He said the Barton Campus has been placed on hold until improvements are made, including development of a large pond area and terracing work to be done by the end of the summer. He said that the Barton Estate has been giving NCMC $30,000 per year for scholarships. He presented each person with a color-coded diagram of the campus and its proposed layout.
Dr. Nuttall also talked about plans for construction of an allied health building on the NCMC campus, noting there are three different designs being considered. The architect will discuss the designs with trustees at their meeting next Tuesday. He said the nursing program seems to be most important to the area as 78 percent of nurses stay in rural Missouri. The facility would accommodate around 80 nursing students. A question and answer period followed.
Bob Greiner presided over the business meeting. Following the pledge to the U.S. flag, Becky Albrecht led the group in prayer. Greiner reported on the District 26-F Convention, which he attended on March 17 at Pickering. the theme was “Sight First.” The district governor served as the master of ceremonies.
