Kitty Colene Lowrey, an 89-year-old resident of Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, died at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at the nursing home, where she had resided since March 21, 2001. She was a Trenton resident.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery at Trenton.
A scheduled family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 19, 2007 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lowrey was born on Feb. 16, 1918 at Laredo, the daughter of Add and Zella Morris Meeker. She lived at Laredo and Spickard and graduated from Trenton High School. She was married at Joplin on Sept. 6, 1941 to Paul Lowrey, who preceded her in death on March 5, 1987. They lived in various communities and states while he was working for an oil company. They moved to Trenton after his retirement to make their home. She was a member of the Spickard Christian Church.
She is survived by one son, Gary Lowrey and his wife, Mary, of Washington, IA; a daughter, Linda Campbell of Oklahoma City, OK: a brother, Frank Meeker of Trenton; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Virgil and Forrest Meeker; and a daughter-in-law, Judy Lowrey.
