Trenton High school graduate Brian Thompson recently traveled with the University of Missouri Trap and Skeet Shooting team to Wyoming.
Thompson won two events and finished with the second-best overall shooting score.
Thompson scored a perfect 100-of-100 in the American Trap. He also won the Double Skeet event with a score of 89-of-100. Thompson hit 93-of-100 in the American Skeet Shoot and placed third.
Thompson also competed in the Double Trap Shoot, but did not place. He hit 85-of-100 targets. Also participating in the shoot were the University of Nebraska, Kansas State University, Iowa State University, Oklahoma State University, Colorado State University, University of Wyoming and University of Missouri-Rolla.
Thompson is the son of Dick and Karalyn Thompson of Trenton.
