The Trenton Sesquicentennial Parade will be held on Friday, June 29, beginning at 6 p.m. Line up for judging will be at 5 p.m. Participants will line up on Crowder Road near the Grundy County-Jewett Norris Library.

The Trenton Rotary Club is sponsoring the event and the parade chairperson is Chris Hoffman. For general parade questions, persons can call Hoffman at 359-6180. Sign-ups for the parade will begin on June 1. To sign up for the parade, participants may call Farmers Bank of Northern Missouri at 660-359-2274.
The theme for the parade is “Historic Trenton…Moving On.” Categories will include: Era Floats – Best Displaying Era for 1857-1882, 1883-1907, 1908-1932, 1933-1958, 1959-1983 and 1984-2007; oldest vehicle; oldest tractor; largest family on one float; longest married couple; best historical float; best dressed male in historical clothing; best dressed female in historical clothing; best dressed rider in historical clothing; largest saddle club in historical clothing; best dressed pet; longest beard; best agriculture float; best musical entry; best use of natural resources and plants; fanciest float; Spirit of 150th float; best futuristic entry; oldest living city council member; and oldest living mayor. Businesses are asked to use historical vehicles and no political entries will be accepted.
