Funeral services for Gerald Duke will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at the Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton. Pastor Barry Boulware will officiate. Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton, following military services.
A family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2007 at the mortuary.
Mr. Duke, a 68-year-old resident of Corinth, TX, died on Monday, Feb. 26, 2007 at Denton Regional Medical Center in Texas.
Mr. Duke was born on Nov. 11, 1938 in Trenton, the son of Leland Earl and Opal Lena Luke Duke. He graduated from Trenton High School and Trenton Junior College. He was married on April 14, 1962 at Trenton to Mary Louise Hill, who survives of the home. He served in the U.S. Army, serving in Germany.
He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, James Duke and his wife of Lake Dallas, TX; a daughter-in-law, Karen Duke of Ft. Worth, TX; a brother-in-law, Robert Hill of Trenton; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Richard (Patsy) Hill of Trenton; three grandchildren, Lindsay, Kristen and Kaitlyn; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Mike Duke; his parents; and a brother, Paul Duke.
