Della E. Tolle, a 91-year-old resident of 1612 Bolser St. in Trenton, died on Monday morning, Feb. 26, 2007 at the home of a daughter, Ruth Stewart, at 1605 Bolser St. in Trenton.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at the Church of the Nazarene, Trenton with Rev. Steve Bramblett officiating. Burial will be at the Tolle Cemetery, south of Trenton.
A family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday , Feb. 28, 2007 at the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton.
Mrs Tolle was born in Trenton on July 18, 1915, the daughter of Jacob William and Cynthia Odom Klingensmith. She attended Trenton schools. She was a life-long resident of Trenton.
She was a charter member of Church of the Nazarene in Trenton.
She was married in Trenton on July 5, 1930 to James Edward Whitworth, who preceded her in death on Sept. 7, 1959.
She was then married at Trenton on May 6, 1961 to Franklin E. Tolle, who preceded her in death on April 3, 1989.
Her survivors include two daughters, Grace McGuire and Ruth Stewart of Trenton; two sons, Jim Whitworth and his wife, Jane, of Trenton and Wayne Whitworth and his wife, Connie of Springhill, KS; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by six sisters. Fannie Chandler, Annie Clark, Mary Drake, Martha Klingensmith, Fern Klingensmith, and Bessie Gannon; five brothers, Charley Klingensmith William Klingensmith, Ralph Klingen-smith, Acie Klingensmith, and Harley Klingensmith; one grandson, Wayne Whitworth Jr.; and two granddaughters, Tammy Wise and Johnia Lee Johnson.
Memorials are suggested to the Church of the Nazarene and may be left at the funeral home.
