The commission appointed Kim Oaks as county health director, an annual appointment made to the administrator of the Grundy County Health Department. In addition, the commission has set at public informational hearing for 9 a.m., Tuesday, March 13 in the commission room at the courthouse. The hearing will focus on a proposed USDA Rural Development grant application for 911 radio equipment for the 911 emergency dispatch center. Anyone seeking information or who wishes to provide input on the proposed grant is invited to attend the meeting or contact the commission at 359-6305.
