Former Trenton Junior College men’s basketball coach Carroll Herman has been elected to the NJCAA Men’s Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
Herman headed the Pirates for three seasons, guiding them to a 50-33 overall record and a pair of 20-win seasons in 1977 and 1978.

In addition to TJC, Herman also coached at Illinois Central College, Robert Morris College, Southeastern High School and Geneseo High School.
He spent 20 years at ICC where he led the Cougars to 381-250 record. He also led the ICC to nine conference titles, five NJCAA sectional titles, two regional titles and two NJCAA national tournament appearances. In 1997, the Cougars finished third.
Herman will be recognized during during ICC’s Feb. 10 game against Shawnee College. His official induction will be held during the men’s national tournament in March in Danville, IL.
