Bobbie Gene Lober, a 69-year-old resident of St. Joseph, died on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2007 at his home. He was a former Trenton resident.

Bobbie Gene Lober, a 69-year-old resident of St. Joseph, died on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2007 at his home. He was a former Trenton resident.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 2, 2007 at the Vaughn Funeral Home in Weston. Burial, with military honors, will be held in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery at Weston.
A family visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007 at the funeral home.
Mr. Lober was born on March 24, 1937 in Weston, the son of Henry Clay Lober and Mary Josephine Williams (Brown). He attended Benton High School in St. Joseph.
He was married on Aug. 28, 1959 in St. Joseph to Frances E. Tuck and they were divorced on June 9, 1978. He was married on March 21, 1979 at Princeton to Linda J. Stout and they were divorced on July 13, 2001.
He entered the U.S. Navy in December 1955 and was discharged on Sept. 20, 1962. He served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves from Aug. 22, 1964 to July 9, 1965 and in the Missouri National Air Guard from July 10, 1965 to Jan. 27, 1968.
He was appointed to the Missouri Highway Patrol on Feb. 1, 1968 and retired on July 1, 1992. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge Aries No. 49 at St. Joseph and the American Legion Post No. 359 in St. Joseph.
He is survived by two sons, Darrell Lober and his wife, Beth, and Kevin Lober and his wife, Brenda, all of Cameron; two daughters, Cathie Lober and Cindy Harkins and her husband, Danny, all of Trenton; and five grandchildren, Tyson Lober, Angie Chenoweth, Cassie Lamp, Shawna Lober and Kyle Harkins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Glen Dale Lober; and a sister, Susie Puckett.
