Grace Arena Bonderer Busam, 75, died on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2007.
A Mass of Resurrection was conducted at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 29, 2007 at Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church with Father John Parish officiating. Burial was in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Busam was born on Dec. 31, 1931 in Trenton,the daughter of Herman and Winnie Bonderer. She graduated St. Mary’s High School in Sandusky, OH in 1950. She married on Sept. 1, 1952 in Sandusky to James Charles Busam at Holy Angels Church in Sandusky, who survives of the home. They lived in Milwaukee, WI and moved to Raleigh, NC in 1972.
Mrs. Busam enjoyed painting, playing the piano and knitting. She was also a gatherer of family oral history.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughterd, Anne (William) Dowling of Wendell, NC and Carol (David) Norris of Wilmington, NC; her sons, Paul (Anita) Busam of Ellicott City, MD, Eric (Angela) Busam of Rocky Mount, NC and Lyle (Cathy) Busam of Youngsville, NC; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Lloyd Bonderer; her sisters, Leota Ohlemacher, Eula Colvin and Celeste Hacker; her son, Kurt Busam; and her grandson Mathew Busam,
