The Trenton High School junior varsity basketball teams travelled to the Gallatin Junior Varsity Tournament on Thursday night. The THS boys beat Hamilton,44-29, and will play for first. The Lady Bulldogs lost to Hamilton, 41-13, and will play for third place.

The boys led 19-10 at halftime and then pulled way in the second half, 25-19. Ryan Wade led the way with 10 points. Garth Griswold, Michael Kurtz and Brett Lawson all scored seven points. Kameron Alley had five points, Jaron Rhea and Justin Gonzalez each had three points and Cody Brown chipped in with two points.
The Bulldogs improve to 7-2 overall and will play at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday in the championship game.
The Lady Bulldogs struggled to find points in their loss. THS trailed 19-4 at halftime and then was outscored by 13 points in the second half. Tasha Ewing had five points to lead the Lady Bulldogs. Taylor Lynch, Emily Smith and Aubrey Utley each scored two points. Madison Gardner and Crystal Pash added one point each.
The Lady Bulldogs fall to 0-7 on the year and will play for third on Saturday at 12:30 p.m
