The Trenton High School junior varsity basketball teams opened 2007 with a pair of games in Gallatin on Tuesday night. The THS boys beat Gallatin, 55-42. The junior varsity girls lost to Gallatin, 52-20.

In the boys contest, the two teams were tied at 23 heading into halftime. THS led 39-35 after three quarters. In the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs outscored Gallatin, 16-7, and won the game. Trenton was led by Kameron Alley with 16 points. Mike Kurtz had 15 points and Jaron Rhea scored 10 points.
THS improves to 5-2 overall and will host Hamilton on Thursday.
The Lady Bulldogs fell to 0-5. THS was led by Emily Anderson with six points. Taylor Lynch had three points and four rebounds. Amber Maberry chipped in with four points.
The Lady Bulldogs will also host Hamilton on Thursday.
