Mrs. Loraine “Lori” I. Spickard, an 81-year-old resident of 1707 Oak St. in Trenton, died this morning (Friday, Jan. 5, 1007) at the Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 8, 2007 at at the Spickard Christian Church. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Monday at the church. An open visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007 at the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton.
Mrs. Spickard was born on March 15, 1925 in Jameson, the son of Loyd and Gracie G. Smith Adams. She attended Jameson schools. She had been employed as a nurse’s aide at the Daviess County Care Center at Gallatin and the Wright Memorial Hospital before retiring. She was a member of Spickard Christian Church.
She was married to Wilburt Knecht and they had four children who survive, including two daughters, Sue Holcomb of Pattonsburg and Donna Sanson of Breckenridge; and two sons, James Knecht of Fulton and Larry Knecht, of Cameron.
She was then married to Ralph Muselman and they had two children who survive, Sandy Hoover of Princeton, and Randy Muselman of Cameron.
She then married Roy Holloway and has two step-sons who survive, Bobby Holloway of Trenton and Danny Holloway of Tulsa, OK.
She was married on Nov. 22, 1985 at Spickard to John Spickard, who survives of the home.
Also surviving are two step-sons, George Spickard of Savannah and Paul Slaughter of Esterville, IA; 16 grandchildren, including grandson Shaun Muselman of Trenton; and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Donald (Sandy) Adam; and one sister, Eilene Sumlin.
