Beverly Ellen Bauswell Rinehart, an 85-year-old resident of Trenton, died on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007 at the Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton. She was a former resident of Browning.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007 at the First Baptist Church in Browning. Rev. Russell Abbott will officiate. Burial will be held in the Locust Valley Cemetery, west of Browning.
A family visitation will be held one hour before the services at the church. Ruschmeier Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Rinehart was born on Nov. 11, 1921 in Sullivan County, the daughter of Este and Hazel Olivia Havens Bauswell. She was married in 1938 to Robert Alexander Rinehart, who survives. They lived on a farm west of Browning for nearly 60 years, moving to Trenton a few years ago due to health problems. She worked at the ASCS office in Milan for several years. She was a member of the Locust Valley Baptist Church. She enjoyed farming, raising a huge garden, and also loved to cook. Over the years, the couple also raised cattle, hogs and chickens.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Gary Rinehart and his wife, Mary, of Liberty; three daughters, Sharon Harrelson of Baton Rouge, LA, Gloria Head and her husband, Jerry, of Trenton and Judy Merritt and her husband, Keith, of Wellington; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Jean Quigley of Liberty; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Victor Jones; one son, Robert N. Rinehart; and one son-in-law, Ray Harrelson.
The family has suggested memorials to the Regional Hospice.
