Loren E. Constable, a 63-year-old resident of Norwalk, IA, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006 at his home. He was a Princeton native.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2006 at Iles Funeral Homes-Westover Chapel in Des Moines, IA. A private committal service will take place at a later date.
There is no visitation scheduled.
Mr. Constable was born June 15, 1943 in Princeton, the son of Bernard and Doris Putnam Constable.
On Oct. 10, 1960, he was married to Paula A. Norton in Milan.
In 1975, the couple moved to Norwalk, where they made their home. He was formerly employed with Hockenburg-Newburgh and Mid-States Marketing as a food broker for more than 30 years, until his retirement in 2004. He was the former owner of the Norwalk Maid-Rite and the Beaverdale Maid-Rite prior to purchasing the Valley Junction Maid-Rite in 1992, which he still owns. He was also an avid fan of horse racing.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Norwalk is survived by a son, David Constable and his wife, Theresa of Urbandale, IA; a daughter, Denise Beener and her husband, Bob of Norwalk; a sister, Darleen Cummings of Kansas City; two granddaughters, Lisa and Sarah Constable, both of Urbandale; a very special family friend, Debbie McMichael of Norwalk; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
