Woman Injured In Accident

A Trenton woman sustained moderate injuries in an accident Saturday southeast of Trenton.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when a truck driven by Frederick L. Dustman of Laredo was eastbound on Southeast 30th Street, while a car driven by Jill Eaton of Trenton was northbound on Route Z. Dustman failed to stop at a stop sign and struck Mrs. Eaton’s car in the driver’s side. Both vehicles came to rest on their wheels on the south side of Southeast 30th Street. Mrs. Eaton’s vehicle was totaled, while Dustman’s truck sustained extensive damage.
Mrs. Eaton sustained moderate injuries and was taken by Grundy County Ambulance to Wright Memorial Hospital. She was wearing a seat belt, while Dustman was not.
Dustman, 53, was ticketed for failing to stop at a stop sign and failing to yield.
The accident was investigated by Trooper H. B. Cowan, assisted by Cpl. Doug Little.
