TMS Boys
The boys never found a way to settle in against Putnam County’s full court press. In the B game, the Midgets jumped on the Bullpups early and never looked back. The B team lost, 27-4.
Joey Christenson and Addison Fuller each scored two points for the Bullpups. The B team finish its season with a 1-8 record.
The TMS A team also struggled against Putnam County’s press. Missed shots and turnovers proved too much for the A team as the Bullpups dropped their final game of the season, 52-21.
Keegan McGinness led TMS with six points. Austin Norris had five points and Dalton Triplet added four points. Brennon Vandevender scored three points, Levi Silkwood had two points and Blake Schlarb added a point.
“The boys have worked hard and improved their skills,” Coach Mike Bosley said. “They need to spend a lot of time in the gym and they have the potential to be a competitive team.”
The A team wrapped up its season with a 4-9 record.
TMS Girls
The TMS A team opened the game with 12-4 lead. Putnam County came back in the third quarter and heading into the fourth period TMS led, 28-25.
The Lady Bullpups did a good job of converting free throws at the end of game and won by a score of 42-37.
“The girls finished on a 10-game winning streak,” Coach Quentin Albrecht said. “I am proud of the energy and intensity they brought to the court.”
Rebekah Capeder led the way with a career-high 24 points. Lindsey Derry had 10 points, Halie Brewer scored six points and Chelsea McCollum added two points. The A team finished with a 12-1 record.
