According to Grundy County Clerk Kristi Urich, the commission accepted a bid from Gott Brothers for snow removal. The bid, which was considered the best of two received, is for $150 per snow occurrence and $75 for ice-melt only. The other bid, received from Eric Peterson, was for $125 per snow occurrence and $55 for ice-melt only. Commissioners discussed with Peterson the scope of the job, which includes the courthouse and the jail, and felt that he did not have the necessary equipment to perform the job.
