Norma Lou Harrington, a 63-year-old resident of Dawn, died at her residence on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2006.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006 at the First Baptist Church in Chillicothe. Burial will be in the Edgewood Cemetery at Chillicothe.
A family visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006 at the Lindley Funeral Home in Trenton. General visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Harrington was born on July 16, 1943 in Clifton Hill, the daughter of Carl and Gladys Hammack. She was married at the First Baptist Church in Clifton Hill on June 2, 1963 to Harvey Paul Harrington, who survives of Dawn. She and her husband owned and operated the Harrington Farm Business Services for the past 36 years.
Mrs. Harrington was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Chillicothe, where she served as conductor of the church orchestra and as church pianist. She led various Bible studies and Sunday School classes.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Amy Tilley and her husband, Jeff, of Sedalia and Cara Harrington of Sedalia; a son, Brian Harrington and his wife, Teresa, of Columbia; six grandchildren, Adam, Andrew and Matthew Tilley of Sedalia and Michael, Ashley and Mackenzie Harrington of Columbia; a brother, Neal Hammack and his wife, Fran, of St. Charles; a father-in-law, Burch Harrington of Chillicothe; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her mother-in-law, Ada Harrington.
The family suggests memorials to the First Baptist Church Music Ministry. They may be left at or mailed to the Lindley Funeral Home at PO Box 47, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
