The Grundy R-5 boys basketball team lost to Bevier on Saturday in the consolation championship of the Novinger Tournament, 71-68.

The Panthers led by seven points at the end of the first quarter. Grundy R-5 led at halftime, 34-32. The Panthers still had the lead entering the fourth quarter, 50-47, but were outscored by Bevier in the final period by six points.
Kyle Larson had 28 points and seven rebounds. Logan Jackson had 21 points and seven rebounds and Colby Searcy added 11 points, six rebounds and four assists. Tyler Jackson had five rebounds and six assists.
The Panthers fall to 2-2 overall and will host Tina-Avalon on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
