THS JV Teams Split At South Harrison

The Trenton High School junior varsity basketball team opened their seasons at South Harrison on Monday night. The junior varsity boys beat South Harrison, 38-37, while the Lady Bulldogs lost to South Harrison, 38-29.

The THS boys went into halftime leading, 20-15, and held off a late charge by South Harrison to win their season opener. Kameron Alley led the way for THS with 13 points. Michael Kurtz had 12 points and Jaron Rhea added seven points. Brett Lawson, Ryan Wade and Dylan Stacy both added two points. THS is 1-0 and will host the THS Junior Varsity Tournament, which begins on Monday.
The Lady Bulldogs fell in their season opener at Bethany. Samantha Fair led the way for THS with seven points, Emily Smith and Taylor Lynch each added five points. Hadley Jennings scored four points. Ariel Betz, Emily Anderson, Tasha Ewing and Sarah Silkwood all chipped in two points apiece. THS falls to 0-1 ad will play Nov. 29 and 30 in the THS JV Tournament.
