Leonard Thogmartin, a 76-year-old resident of South San Francisco, CA, died on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006 at his home.
Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006 at South San Francisco under the direction of the Garden Chapel Funeral Directors. Rev. Champ Traylor officiated at the private burial.
Mr. Thogmartin was born on Nov. 7, 1929 near Modena, the son of Pearl and Eleanore Arnote Thogmartin. He graduated in 1947 from Princeton High School, then left for the Navy and served 22 1/2 years.
He was married on Dec. 22, 1956 to Alice Mondino, who survives.
He is also survived by two daughters, Susan Levy of Pacific Palisades, CA and Nancy Giordanengo and her husband, Richard, of Mt. Shasta, CA; four grandchildren; three brothers, Joe Thogmartin and his wife, Judy, of Stockbridge, GA, Robert Thogmartin and his wife, Carolyn, of Carrollton, GA; and Terry Thogmartin and his wife, Mary Lynn of Vila Rica, GA; a sister, Lou Morrow of Stanberry; his mother, Eleanore Thogmartin Norris of Trenton; an aunt, Ilene Tilson of Hiawatha, KS; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
