Carmela Maria “Millie” Weston, an 85-year-old resident of Glencoe, IL, died on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2006 at the Sacred Heart Church in Winnetka, IL. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. A visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the church.
Mrs. Weston was born on Oct. 9, 1921 in Hartford, CT, the daughter of Dominik and Rose D’Allessandro Martocci. She graduated from Hartford Public High School in 1939. She moved to the West Coast twice during her 20s and married Jack Weston in California in December 1950. The family moved to Galt in 1951. The marriage ended in 1968 and she returned to Hartford with her son, Tim, to care for her father and be close to her brother. She began a career with Travelers Insurance Company and worked there until her retirement in 1986. She moved to Chicago, IL in 1986 to be close to her sons. She lived with Tim from 1987 until her death. She attended the Sacred Heart Parish in Winnetka and was a lifelong Catholic.
She is survived by three sons, Mark Weston and his wife, Madeline, of Glencoe, Timothy Weston of Glencoe and Jeffrey Weston and his wife, Beth, of Raytown; two granddaughters, Gilliam and Maris Weston, two grandson, Tim and Trent Weston; and three nieces and four nephews, Rose Martocci, Cathy Knoechel, Susan Kaufman, Paul Martocci, Stephen Martocci, Michael Martocci and David Martocci.
