Ten THS football players earned special individual honors. Freshman Tony Thompson earned the Rookie of the Year Award. Cree Beverlin was the Sophomore of the Year and DeAndre Vandevender won Junior of the Year recognition.
The Most Improved Player went to senior Logan Wyant. Special Teams Player of the Year went to senior Brenden Ebersold.

Head Coach Wes Croy awarded senior Logan Epperson with the team’s Mr. Hustle and Desire Award and senior Daniel Stokes took home the Mr. Football Award.
Senior Players
This year the Bulldogs say good-bye to 13 seniors. THS will have to replace 10 starters next season, including four players who started on both offense and defense.
“Heading into the season the coaches were a little concerned about who would step up and become the leaders,” Croy said. “What we got was 13 leaders instead of just one or two leaders and that was the reason we were so successful.”
Five of those 13 seniors were honored as four-year players. They were Stokes, Kyle Harkins, Ebersold, Josh Lisle and Golden. The other eight seniors who laced it up for the final time as a Bulldog include Miller, Wyant, Epperson, Evan Fries, Austin Thompson, Skyler Barron, Aaron Shipley-Fair and Zach Peoples. All 13 seniors earned letters.
“Top to bottom, these seniors are incredible young men,” Croy said.
Juniors
THS recognized 10 juniors. Like the seniors, all of Trenton’s juniors earned letters and eight of those 10 were varsity starters.
Trenton’s 10 juniors are Colton McGinness, Scott Stevens, Vandevender, Jason Golden, Hoyt, Aaron Lowrey, Brandon Faubion, Matthew Mayfield, Zach Kinnison and Ethan Tabbert.
Sophomores
Sixteen sophomores were out for football this season. Five earned letters and seven earned provisional letters. Earning letters were Beverlin, T.J. Ireland, Bryan Johnson, Ryan Wade and Kade Kinney. Provisional letterwinners were Ethan Bunnell, Cory Holloway, Mason Hilsabeck, Kaleb Moulin, Dylan Robinson, Kameron Alley and Ethan Wyant.
Other sophomore participants who were recognized were Michael Kurtz, Cory Mathern, Manuel Quintana, and Adam McClain.
Freshmen
Twelve freshmen were part of the 2006 team and included Dylan Stacy, Tony Thompson, Brad Schultz, Lance Stiles, Marshall Foster, Russell Prescott, Kody Hicks, Adrian McCloud, Zach McClure, Justin Brinser, Garth Griswold and Cody Brown.
“Now the team belongs to our juniors, sophomores and freshmen,” Croy said. “What we need to find out is who is going to step up and be next year’s leaders. We will find those leaders in the weight room, during spring and summer workouts and next fall during practice.”
Managers
THS had three varsity managers earn letters. They were Lindsey Dustman, Rebekah Boone and Camie Steinhoff.
THS Coaches
Trenton’s four varsity coaches and two middle school coaches were also honored. They included Head Coach Wes Croy, Defensive Coordinator Jon Adwell, Chris Parks, Mike Tipton, Dave Probasco and Rich Griffith.

THS Cheerleaders
Twelve Lady Bulldogs took the sidelines as cheerleaders this season. Eleven of those girls were named All-American Cheerlead-ers by Elite Cheerleading.
Trenton’s four senior cheerleaders are Ciara Gibson, Melissa Gay, Katherine Hoffman and Cara Ricketts. Members of the squad also included juniors Taylor Cox, Savannah Hanson, Molly Holeman, Elizabeth Hoffman, Maddison Paulsen and JaNea Whitney; sophomore Kayna Tolle; and freshman Aaron Smith.
The cheerleading coaches were Connie Hoffman and Robin Wilson.

THS Mascots
THS Mascot coach Dave Burkeybile introduced the Bulldogs’ four mascots. Destiny Silvers was the lone senior. Sophomore mascots are Sarah Schroeder and Rachael Simmons. Krista Murphy is the freshman mascot.
