Out of the gate, I need to clarify last week’s vote totals. The ‘66 team finished with 49 total votes. It was pointed out to me earlier in the week that the total number of votes did not add up. I am guessing that I skipped one of the teams with five votes. Anyhow, ‘66 did win and yes, I cannot add. One other little piece of housekeeping I need to take care of is giving Carl Woodard, Class of 2000, a little love. He rushed for over a 1,000 yards in a single season. Currently he is 12th on the THS career rushing list.
Havens White and Mike Prindle both picked up a vote each in last week’s running back poll. Joel Peace and Floyd Campbell each finished with two total votes and J.D. Ward, Larry Lawson and Robbie Robinson each received three votes. Steve Sharp finished with five total votes. George “Swivel Hips” Moore finished with 10 total votes (the nickname came on several e-mails). The top three votegetters are Josh Eaton with 11 votes, Andy Hill with 18 votes and the Readers’ Choice all-time running back is Brian Grimes with 34 votes.
