The Trenton Parents as Teachers and Trenton R-9 Preschool programs will sponsor a visit by “Funky Mama” on Thursday, Nov. 16.

Krista “Funky Mama” blends rock and roll, bluegrass country gospel, funk and fun with her high-energy music, writing and performing her own original music for children that isn’t grating on a parent’s ears. A former KMBC-TV Channel 9 news reporter, she left the news business to be with her son-full time and now concentrates on music for young children and their families.
“Funky Mamma” will be in the Trenton High School gym from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Children ages birth to kindergarten, along with their parents, are invited to participate. There will also be a drawing for a free CD of music by “Funky Mama.”
