The Pleasant View R-6 seventh and eighth grade basketball teams played Spickard on Tuesday night. The R-6 girls beat Spickard, 34-23, and the R-6 Blue Jay boys beat Spickard, 48-33.

Jordan Cox led the R-6 girls with 12 points. Bailey Brown scored 10 points. Micah Burkeybile, Melissa Berry and Amber Lawrence all scored eight points for Spickard.
Justin Van Houtan led the R-6 boys with 18 points. Zachariah Kasinger added 11 points. Jordin Curtis led Spickard with 15 points and Laramy Raymo added 12 points.
R-6 will play at Chula on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
