Ellouise Lenz, a 92-year-old resident of 131 E. 7th St., died on Monday morning, Nov. 6, 2006 at the Liberty Hospital in Liberty.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006 at the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton. Rev. Denise Turner will officiate. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Trenton.
There is no scheduled family visitation.
Mrs. Lenz was born on Aug. 9, 1914 in Trenton, the daughter of Charles C. and Ethel Mae Thompson Lutz. She was a graduate of Trenton High School. She was a lifelong resident of Trenton and was employed by Trenton High school as a cook before retiring in 1979. She was a lifetime member of the first Christian Church in Trenton.
She was married on April 14, 1940 at Trenton to Clinton Hamilton, who preceded her in death on Nov. 21, 1961. She was married on Feb. 27, 1968 at Trenton to Merrill P. Lenz, who preceded her in death on April 9, 1993.
She is survived by one daughter-in-law, Joyce Hamilton of Marshalltown, IA; two grandsons, Clint Hamilton and his wife, Angie, of Marshalltown, and Chris Hamilton and his wife, Natalie, of Marshalltown; and two great-grandsons, Brandon Holubar and Matthew Holubar, both of Marshalltown.
Besides her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, William Kyle Lutz; one sister, Dorothea Dean Lutz; and a son, William Kyle “Bill” Hamilton.
The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
