Pauline West, a 75-year old resident of Sunnyview Nursing Home died at 6:17 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006.
The body was cremated. Graveside Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006 at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.
Mrs. West was born on October 18, 1931 in Spickard, MO to Kelly R. Howard and Clarice Dean Howard. After graduating from Spickard High School, Mrs. West worked for several years in the banking business in Kansas City. She was married on Jan. 13, 1957 to Marquis West at the First Baptist Church in Trenton. They lived most of their married life on a farm, “The Lazy W,” located south of Trenton.
Mrs. West was a member of Fairview Baptist Church for many years and a member of the First Baptist Church of Trenton at the time of her death.
She is survived by one brother, Gene Howard and his wife, Jeannie, of Palm Springs, CA; three nieces, including Donna Veatch and her husband, Daryl, of Lake Winnebago; four nephews, including Kelley D. Howard and Robert E. Howard, both of Trenton; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Howard of Trenton; one brother-in-law, Don West and his wife, Jan, of Roswell, NM; a half-brother, James R. Clark, Alamo, TX; one step-brother, Robert (Bob) Wagner and his wife, Lois, of Kansas City; and a step-sister, Bea Mellenbruch and her husband, Don of Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marquis R. West; her parents; and a brother, the late Earl Dean Howard of Trenton.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
