According to County Clerk Kristi Urich, the commission hired Midwest Mobile of St. Joseph to handle the maintenance, replacing Missouri Communications, which has provided the maintenance for the system. Mrs. Urich said the three-year agreement calls for Midwest Mobile to be paid $195 per month. Missouri Communications was paid $285 per month. In addition to performing monthly maintenance, the company will assist with some of the design of the new law enforcement center in the areas that affect the communications equipment.
