Elizabeth Ellen Bonnett, a 92-year-old resident of Chula, died on Monday, Oct. 16, 2006 at the Indian Hills Retirement Village in Chillicothe. She was a former Milan resident.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 20, 2006 at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens at Chillicothe.
There is no scheduled family visitation. General visitation begins after noon on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006 at the funeral home and from 8 a.m. until service time on Friday.
Mrs. Bonnett was born on April 27, 1914 in Milan, the daughter of William and Alice Gramling Judd. She was married on July 4, 1935 in Sullivan County to Charles Bonnett, who preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 1969.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Bonnett and his wife, Barbara, of Chillicothe and Dean Bonnett and his wife, Bobbie, of Chula; one daughter, Bonnie McAtee and friend, Glenn, of Milan; two sisters, Margaret McGee of Milan and Joan Riddle of Green City; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Everett, Ed, Roy and Ernest Judd; one sister, Annabell Grindstaff; one son, Ronnie Bonnett; and one granddaughter, Sherry L. Henness.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Heart Association. They may be left at or mailed to the Lindley Funeral Home at PO Box 47, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
