Col. James F. Keathley has announced that a former Trenton resident has been transferred to the Gaming Division of the Missouri Highway Patrol.
Gary Moore Transferred To Gaming Division Of Highway Patrol
Lt. Gary L. Moore will transfer to the Gaming Division and be designated assistant director effective Oct. 1. Lt. Moore is a 25-year veteran of the Patrol, graduating from the MHP Academy in 1981. His first assignment was Troop H, Zone 4, Grundy and Mercer counties. In 1990, Moore was promoted to corporal and designated assistant zone commander of Zone 2, Nodaway and Worth counties. He was promoted to sergeant in 1994 and was designated zone commander of Zone 3, Harrison and Gentry counties. In October 1997, he transferred to the Governor’s Security Division, General Headquarters in Jefferson City, becoming assistant director of that division in March 2001. In June 2001, he was promoted to lieutenant and designated director of the Governor’s Security Division. Last month, he transferred to the Field Operations Bureau and was designated Homeland Security Coordinator.
Moore is a native of Marshall and graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1971. He is the father of a daughter, Amanda Cullin of Clyde, and a son, Bryan Nigh of Los Angeles, CA. He also has a grandson, Alias Cullin.
