Jacob H. Gruenwald, 18, 706 E. Fifth St., pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle without a valid license and was fined $37.50 and $56.50 costs. He also pleaded guilty to not wearing a seat belt and was fined $10. He also pleaded guilty to not maintaining financial responsibility for a vehicle and was fined $27.50 and $56.50 costs. A motor inspection violation was dismissed.
Simone E. Boren, 23, Humphreys, and Zachary T. Kinnison, 16, 3120 Oklahoma Ave., pleaded guilty to not wearing a seat belt and were fined $10.
Beverly A. Trembley, 74, Brooksville, FL, pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle to the left side of the roadway at or within 100 feet of an intersection and was fined $77.50 and $56.50 costs.
Jeffrey D. Lewellen, 40, 825 W. Crowder Rd., pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle on the highway without an inspection and was fined $27.50 and $56.50 costs. He also pleaded guilty to failing to register a motor vehicle annually with the Director of Revenue and was fined $27.50 and $56.50 costs. He also pleaded guilty to not wearing a seat belt and fined $10.
John Andrew Kidd, 35, 470 S.W. Oak Ln., pleaded guilty to failing to secure a child between the ages of four and 16 in a properly adjusted seat belt and was fined $10. He also pleaded guilty to following another vehicle too closely and was fined $52.50 and $56.50 costs.
Mark A. Sanders, 45, Spickard, pleaded guilty to failing to drive on the right half of the roadway, resulting in an accident and was fined $27.50 and $56.50 costs.
Douglas W. King, 44, Republic, pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $42.50 and $56.50 costs.
Justin Gorham, Plattsburg, pleaded guilty to to passing bad checks and was fined $100, plus $104.50 costs and $10 to the Crime Victims Compensation Fund. He is also to pay restitution and fees of $70.84 to the prosecuting attorney’s office.
Vernon Whelchel, 18, Gallatin, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of peace disturbance (the original charge was being a minor visibly intoxicated) and was sentenced to serve 30 days in the Grundy County Jail. Execution of the sentence was stayed and he was placed on probation for one year, with the condition that he pay $104.50 costs, $10 to the CVCF, complete 40 hours of community service and complete the “Drive to Survive” program. He also pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle on the highway without a valid license and was fined $27.50 and $56.50 costs. Charges of speeding and not wearing a seat belt were dismissed.
Joyce M. Hays, 55, 1010 Avalon St., had her case bound over to Division I on two charges of forgery and one charge of tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution. She is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 9.
Casey J. Smith, 23, and Alicia S. Couey, 21, both of Milan, waived their preliminary hearings and had their cases bound over to Division I on charges of first degree tampering with a motor vehicle.
Joanna K. Gard, 27, 915 Baltimore St., pleaded guilty, pursuant to a plea agreement, to two amended charges of passing bad checks (the original charges were forgery). She was fined $100 on each count and is to pay $104.50 costs and $10 to the Crime Victims Compensation Fund. Two other charges of forgery were dismissed.
Jeremy Mathes, 33, 312 Debolt St., pleaded guilty, pursuant to a plea agreement, to driving while intoxicated (prior offender) and was sentenced to serve 120 days in the Grundy County Jail. He was given credit for 60 days already served in the Livingston County Jail and the execution of the remaining 60 days was suspended. Mathes was placed on probation for two years and is to pay $114.50 costs and $90 recoupment of funds.
Preston P. Linder, 22, Kingsville, pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $42.50 and $56.50 costs.
